Vanilla Clothing Expansion

Vanilla Clothing Expansion was created for my multiplayer server Serious Survival Roleplay. The goal of the mod is to add more variety to existing Vanilla clothing in a lore friendly minimalist way that doesn’t throw off the entire feeling of the game, but allows players/characters more options to create their outfits/gear. This is a long term project, and I eventually plan on adding more Stand alone clothing items plausible for the early 90s setting. This mod for the time being will not have Open Jackets support until I at least finish adding all the variations I want as Open jackets uses and outdated API that im not sure will be viable post B42. You should keep this mod loaded at the top of your mod list, as to not overwrite other mods. Only known issues are the Ponchos are not able to have their own individual Icons.I will be adding an expansion onto this expansion for a bonus stats edition. Including bag size increases, better clothing protection (even bulletproofing for helmets!) in the future as well. If you have any bugs related to the mod please report them in the bug section!

Overview :Expand the existing "Perfume" and "Cologne".

Confirmed to work with Build 41.71.Features :

  • Perfumes and colognes will be available (drainable) items.
  • To use it, select "Apply perfume/cologne to the skin" from the item’s context menu.
    • Perfume can be used 10 times when full.
    • Cologne can be used 20 times when full.
  • Perfume or cologne reduces Stress and Unhappy moodles through fragrance.
    • Every minute in the game, Stress and Unhappy moodles are reduced by -0.1 and the effect lasts until the fragrance is gone.
    • The duration of effect is up to 8 hours (480 minutes) for perfumes and up to 2 hours (120 minutes) for colognes.
    • Duration of effect is affected by below.
      • If the body is wet, the duration will decrease depending on the degree of wetness. (In the worst case, the duration is reduced to 1/10)
      • If the body is washed, the effect is lost regardless of the remaining duration.
  • You can check the duration from the context menu "Check the fragrance".
    • Top notes: Case of remaining time more than 85% of maximum duration.
    • Middle Note: Case of remaining time is less than 85% and more than 40% of maximum duration.
    • Last Note: Case of remaining time is less than 40% of maximum duration.
    • If the duration is depleted, the command will not appear in the context menu.
  • While the effect lasts, it is easier to be found by zombies.Love and perfume cannot be hidden.
    • The traits "Conspicuous" is temporarily granted.
    • If the traits "Inconspicuous" is originally present, that traits is temporarily removed.
    • If you have the traits "Conspicuous" from the original, nothing special changes.
    • The temporarily changed traits will return to their original state at the end of the effect duration.

Options :These options are available withMod Options.

  • Use Context Menu : Allow the context menu to toggle between check the fragrance and not.

Remarks :

  • If this mod is activated or deactivated mid-game, all perfumes and colognes which you had obtain or spawn in the game will delete. This is a specification.
  • If this mod is deactivated while using perfume/cologne, the traits will not be restored. In that case, re-activate this mod and turn off the effect in use (wait until it wears off or wash yourself). When the effect wears off, the traits will also return to original state, so please deactivate this mod afterwards.
  • You may add it to your mod pack without confirmation and credit. However, please use at your own risk, as I have not been able to verify that it works with SP.
  • This mod is a collaboration mod with this play video. This video is mainly in Japanese, but there are subtitles for translation. The automatic translation may be difficult to understand because of its inaccuracy, but please take a look if you like.

Are you tired of swapping cassettes and vinyls after every track? Is the effort to find batteries doing more damage to your sanity than the zombie apocalypse, itself? Well, now you can load hundreds of cassettes and vinyls from the infamous True Music into a handy multipurpose jukebox and dance until you’re undead! And the music syncs on multiplayer!1.First remove and then unsubscribe from the old version of True Music Jukebox! (!!!)

3. Subscribe to some good True Music track packs.
4. Find or build yourself an epic jukebox (but don’t forget electricity)!
5. Turn it on, fill it with cassettes and vinyls, and crank it up to ELEVEN! *How to Use JukeboxesTo use a jukebox, simply interact with it once after finding or placing it in the world and turn it on. This will convert the jukebox into a container object. After that, you can move (or "load") True Music cassettes and vinyls into the jukebox. Once tracks have been loaded, you can play them using either any loaded track’s inventory menu or the jukebox interaction menu. Powered jukeboxes will play continuously. You can create a queue of specific tracks that will play next in the loaded playlist, and you can lock the queue if you want to loop through a subset of loaded tracks.Jukeboxes can hold ELEVENTY arbitrary Zomboid weight units (110 AZWU) of your finest tapes and vinyl records. There is no track limit.By default, zombies will be attracted to the sound of the jukebox up to 50 squares away. The range at which zombies can hear a jukebox at full volume can be set using sandbox options.* Jukebox sound is controlled by Ambient Volume in sound settings.Jukebox Therapy and NutritionJukeboxes can be given the power to improve the moods and health of players who hear them in many ways; they can even quench your thirst if you want them to be that magical. These features are off by default; enable them in sandbox options if they are up your alley!Jukebox IconsThis mod features icons to help people navigate its menus nonverbally. All buttons still do what their button text says they will do; buttons that say "play", "enable", or "turn on" do exactly that. This mod allows you to craft sensors of various types, and apply them to objects to initiate an automatic action. Additionally sensors may trigger sound alarms or initiate explosions.Examples:

  • You can add a light sensor to a lamp so that it turns on automatically during night. Using sensors will allow you to conserve energy. If you you Immersive Solar Arrays, the efficiency of your setup will be improved greatly Additionally you will extend lifetime of your bulbs.
  • You can add a proximity sensor to a gate so that it opens when player is near. This way you do not need to exit your car to open or close the gate
  • You can add a power sensor that detects power shortage and turns on a (secondary) generator
  • You can place a zombie sensor with a electric shock module that will guard your base

  1. You will need to find "Electronic Magaize vol 5 – Sensors" and read it to unlock recipe for all sensor types
  2. Craft a sensor of any type with 2 electronic scrap and glue. You will need to have at least electric skill level 2
  3. Click on the object you want to add sensor to, and select "Add Sensor" option
  4. If you want to remove the sensor, simply select "Remove Sensor" option.

Tuning SensorsTo adjust sensor settings such a sensitivity, you will need to use a desktop computer. You must subscribe to "The Computer" by KONIJIMA mod. Turn on the computer and right click on computer keyboard, an option to reprogram the sensor will be available.Threshold levelsNot all sensor types have threshold levels and threshold levels min and max values are different for every sensor type.InvertYou can check "invert" to invert the threshold rule. For example , for temperature sensor is threshold is 26 it will send positive signal when temperature is below 26C, but when you check "invert" it will send positive signal when the temperature exceeds 26C.ModulesSensor has module slots that can be added for extra functionality.

  • Battery slot – sensor need power to operate. If there is no external power, the sensor can use the battery. Battery will deplete slowly each time sensor activates.
  • Speaker slot – you can add amplifier module, this way sensor will trigger sound alarm when activated. The alarm will bring more attention however.
  • Arm slot – you can add armed traps here, see below

Armed TrapsThe traps are danegerous for zombies and players no matter who triggers them. So watch out! To craft armed traps you will need to find and read "Electronic Magaize vol 6 – Traps".

  • Shock trap – it will electrocute characters within sensor range. Electrocuted zombies’ movement will be limited and finally zombie will become a crawler. Players will fall down and their movement will be limited. No damage is inflicted apart from the damage that is possible due to the bump fall. The trap is persistent, it does not vanish after firing.
  • Glass trap – it will explode and kill almost all zombies in the sensor range. Players will suffer from deep wounds with glass shards. The trap fires once and then the sensor is gone
  • Nails trap – similar to glass trap, but without glass shards, but slighly more painful.

Traps will not work on players that are sneaking.RoadmapFeatures below are not implemented yet, but I am thinking about adding them.

  • Other sensor types: Time sensor – activate at the given hour/minute

Bugs

  • Do not use on player crafter small doors
  • If you you pick up the object you will lose a sensor. Remove it first, move object and add sensor again.
  • If you want gates to work correctly, add sensor to the edge of the gate, where the hinges are, not the center.

Essential Crafting

This mod addresses the need for vanilla friendly crafting additions – such as refilling lighters, improvised can opening/rock crushing/fire making, weapon fixing, making raw tailoring materials, carving, tailoring and many others quality of life methods to make long term survival in a low loot environment better.

  • Open canned food the hardway – with all kinds of sharp objects – and risk a tiny chance of injury.
  • Lighters last twice as long and can be refilled with petrol/ethanol.
  • Crush rocks with hammers and other rocks into smaller pieces. Logs and tree branches can be cut into twigs that can be used to start a fire.
  • Use sheets as towels and dry yourself. You can squeeze water out of wet towels as well.
  • Can use knives/scissors to draw thread, twine and yarn from various clothings or from each other.
  • Use leather strips to tie various stuff to your spears. Can also untie them later.
  • Books/magazines can be scrapped into scapped paper that can be used to start fires. Both ordinary sheets and scrap sheets weight 10 times less. You can also bind empty papers together into notebooks. Some of the scrap paper can be sorted and made into empty sheets as well.
  • You can burn A LOT more items now. Everything that can BURN will BURN! Except some items that can be disassembled into more useful stuff. This including car tires, car seats, paint, radios and so on. You can also start a fire with a lot more items. Good for urban survival.
  • Smash certain object into shattered glass. A lot of wooden tools can be also be scrapped into unusable wood – metal tools can be melted with myReal Metalworkingmod.
  • Campfire kit can be made with only twigs/paper and weights only 100 grams as its just a placeholder for the actual stuff you use for fuel and to light the fire with.
  • Tent kit needs wire, twine or duct tape to be crafted but also can use various long wooden items on its recipe. It also needs a level 1 carpentry skill so not every babushka can make a tent.
  • Carve/Craft various essential survivor items such as bowls, fishing tackles, needles, tweezers, duct tape etc etc.
  • Denim/Leather clothing can be ripped the hard way with various sharp objects(Tiny risk of injury.)
  • Almost all clothing items can be now ripped into sheets, denim, leather or scrap.
  • Make plaster powder. It gives you back the garbage bag once its emptied.
  • Mix paints together and paint light bulbs.
  • Tailor some essential items such as sacks, bags, shoes, tarps etc etc. Can disassemble bulletproof vests and tailor a new one with high tailor level.
  • Knit wooly clothing items with yarn or various holsters, boots and belts from leather.
  • Cologne/Perfume act as very unhealthy alcohol and can be used as disinfectant as well.
  • Sheet rope takes more materials to be crafted but they can be combined. Rope can also be scrapped into a sheet.
  • You can make weapons into usable weapon parts and fix other weapons with them – also needs a metalworking skill.
  • With high metalwork/tailoring skill you can fix tools with wire and leather strips.
  • Simple scarf that can be made from ripped sheets to protect your neck – changed scarf neck protection values from bites and scratches as well.
  • Make disinfectant from bleach/salt+water mixing.
  • Five-body mass graves. They will disappear on their own after 40 days.

This is part of… :Project Realistic Overhaul – Set of mods I’ve created that will overhaul the vanilla game experience to be more hardcore and true to life, but on the other hand leaves you the option to make it through and survive.
