Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus and Sign-on bonus
We are seeking a Test Instrumentation Engineer who will lead efforts for instrumentation design, implementation, and troubleshooting of ground test articles and flight test vehicles. You will be also be responsible for developing and maintaining the ground control station and working with suppliers to develop state of the art data acquisition systems.
Duties:
- Designing and developing flight test instrumentation and data acquisition systems and equations
- Designing and developing instrumentation systems for research and development laboratories
- Documenting test article installation, configuration, and integration requirements for the flight test vehicle or
- ground test rig instrumentation utilizing standard design programs
- Coordinating with external equipment suppliers
- Providing engineering and technical support as part of the test team
- Setup and operation of the ground based Command & Control and Telemetry systems
- Ensuring instrumentation is properly installed and calibrated
- Other duties as directed
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM Degree)
- 5+ years of experience in flight or ground test instrumentation engineering
- Experience in selection, integration, calibration, and implementation of a wide range of sensors for aircraft and/or rotorcraft
- Experience using IADS for instrumentation implementation and troubleshooting
- Unmanned aircraft flight test experience
- Electric Propulsion flight test experience
- Previous experience developing UAV command and control system
